This is the Tumblr of a fellow SRU student, Elise Michaux. I have a Tumblr page myself, and when I stumbled upcon Elise's I became a huge fan instantly. She writes with a purpose, and posts pictures and GIFs that I can agree and relate to. I feel like she informs the blogging world of Tumblr of serious matters, along with opinions about issues and events that we, the college generation can relate to or agree with. There's always a good read when you go on E's page.

I first started off reading Ebony Magazine, but with the rise of media taking over and easy access to magazines now having their own websites and blogs, I can easily access this blog online. I love Ebony magazine because though I can stay up to date with current news events, I also have access to current news events that our occurring in the African American community. As an African American myself, I think it is important to stay informed of my community. Furthermore, I love the fact that I can view information on finance, style, entertainment and culture, and wellness/empowerment. The layout of the blog is very eye catching. Furthermore, the posts are always well written, which keeps me coming back for more.

This is a tumblr blog that my friend recommended to me, and the moment that I followed the link I loved the blog. It has a simple set up and there are not many long posts or in-depth videos. The blog mainly consists of quotes and photos. The blog, Teaching Literacy, focuses on a main theme, reading, and when scrolling through the pages there are different ways that the theme is followed from book titles, to library designs. Also while looking at the content of the blog you see that many people felt free to comment, but the author still included a link telling the audience to ask her anything. This blog was creative, and held interesting information and photos while at the same time held some personal touches and showed the author's personality proving that she truly loves to blog.

I'm pretty much new to the blog world. Never had one, and never really followed a blog religiously. So I did a little searching and found this blog to be pretty good. I like it because it is updated at least once a day with the most relevant things that are happening in the MLB. I also like it because most posts contain a link or two to relevant information and quotes from players. On the right-hand side of the site, it contains links to a lot of other baseball blogs, baseball news and stat websites, and other blogs the author likes.

  5. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/blog/_/name/schefter_adam Here is the blog I have chosen. Unfortunately you have to pay a small fee which I havn't updated but it's ESPN NFL Insides Adam Schefter's blog. Dr. Zeltner knows more than anyone that sports is my main interest especially the NFL. And NOONE covers the NFL like Adam Schefter he is highly regarded in the business and is first on just about everything. If theres something you need to know involving the NFL he is your guy. His blog is simple. It gets straight to the point fast and doesn't beat around the bush. Very informative.

I chose this blog because I really liked the content and setup. There are many pictures that relate to the text and enforce the message of the blog. There is consistency in the presentation of the text. I also like how there isn't an overwhelming amount of text. There are also links on the side to their facebook and twitter page. This blog relates to the show Super Soul Sunday. The show is about spiritual growth and living your best life. These are topics I can relate to.

The blog I have chosen is that of a popular young man I follow on YouTube. On YouTube, he goes by the name of Devinsupertramp. I most recently learned of his blog and started following it to learn more about the videos he makes and the ideas he comes up with. He does a very nice job providing basic info of what his next project is going to be as well as pictures and almost always, his videos. Although he hasn't blogged about anything so far as of this year, I still look forward to see what projects he will be deciding on to film for the months to come. I really like his style.

I am completely new to the blog world. I don't think I have ever really looked at any blogs before. I did some research on blogs that had similar interests to mine. I read a lot of magazines such as Glamour and Allure and love finding different beauty tips on Pinterest, so I found a beauty blog that combined all those things (plus comedy)! On Google, I typed in beauty blogs and a link came up that was the Allure magazine beauty blog winner. This blog has everything that I could ask for. Shannon Ray, the creator of the blog, combines makeup ideas with goofy pictures and videos with celebrities outfits and much more! Her way of talking on the posts is informal and fun to read. You can tell she is being completely honest with her posts and stating her opinion. I found myself scrolling through many posts to see what other cool things I could find. I have already favorited the blog and feel like I will keep up with it because I really enjoy it. Here is a link to the page that talks about her winning the first annual Allure magazine beauty blogger award:

  9. http://dulcecandy.com/

I discovered this blog through YouTube. For about a few years now, I've been really into watching videos on youtube posted by "beauty gurus" because it is an easy way to see what kind of trends are happening in the fashion and beauty world right now and a lot of people post reviews of new products, so I can find the opinions of others before I go out and spend money on something. I follow a lot of beauty gurus, but Dulce Candy's blog is definitely my favorite to visit. Her posts include reviews on different products and things happening in her life but she is most famous for posting photos of the outfits that she wears every day and that is my favorite part of her blog because it gives me inspiration on different ways to put my own outfits together. What sets her blog apart is that she uses a lot of great quality photos , which I think makes a huge difference in comparison to other fashion/beauty blogs.

I came across this blog through Instagram. Negin actually started following me and I had no idea who she was. Once I looked at her page, I admired her style and the different beauty products that she uses. I can definitely relate to her fashion sense. After a while, I noticed she was linking her blog to her Instagram posts and I started following her blog. It is very organized and easy to follow. She communicates with her readers, often answering any questions that people have. She also posts pictures and videos to enhance her blogs. Her writing style is also very conversational, which intrigues me to read her blog almost every day.

One of my favorite blogs to look at is this Tumblr account by Eva Chen, who is the beauty editor for Teen Vogue. I follow her on twitter, and she links blog posts in her tweets, and that's how I discovered her blog. I really like the layout because it's simple. I like that she chose a plan white background. She posts a lot of pictures, so the white really makes the colors in the photos stand out. One of my favorite things about her blog is how minimal the commentary is for her original posts. A lot of the pictures she posts are of beauty products, clothes, shoes, and accessories, and she'll only write a paragraph at the most about each item. Any other heavy text is questions asked by other bloggers that she's responded to, which can easily be skipped over.

One of my favorite blogs to read is one that is posted everyday by Buster Olney. He writes for ESPN and his beat is baseball. Everything you need to know about baseball, this is the blog that you want to read. He is very informative and always up to date with current events that take place in the baseball world. I also like Buster's blog because he gets right to the point. I noticed that in the readings that were assigned to us about blogs that this seemed to be the most common theme.

This is a blog done by Baltimore Orioles' beat reporter Brittany Ghiroli called "Britt's Bird Watch." I came across this blog through Twitter because I follow the author, there is also a link to her blog on the Baltimore Orioles' official website. I chose this blog because I've never really been all into blogging and this is really the only one I've actually visited with any consistency. I like this blog because I am a die-hard Orioles fan and I like to keep up to date with my Orioles news and Britt does a good job of getting the quick facts and inside scoop whether it be about trades, free agent signings, injuries, etc.

This is a blog done by Olivia Lopez, a teen who started a fashion blog that gained a lot of popularity. She has been featured in many magazines, and seems to be regarded by many as a new style icon.
I have been visiting this blog every once in awhile for the past couple of years, and it's probably one of my favorite style blogs. I really like Olivia's style and how she posts a lot of interesting photographs. She also talks about news in the fashion world, which I think is fun to read.

It's a tattoo blog about Kings Avenue Tattoo. I love tattoos and I love talking to tattoo artists because they are so creative. They present themselves professionally which is important because an unprofessional tattoo artist will scar you and your tattoo experience. They also have examples of their work so you can choose your favorite artist.

This is a hilarious blog that is written by a mother. She talks about all things funny including things her kid says, things other moms do, tests to see if you are a cool mom, and anything else you can possibly think of. I originally found another blog that was similar on pinterest. When I went back to find the original blog I stumbled on this one. I highly recommend that everyone checks it out. It's not just for moms either. I am not a mom and I love it. You will definitely laugh.
